Through continuous improvement, proactive measures, and a dedication to excellence, we ensure that our pharmacy services and quality assurance processes are always at the forefront of patient safety. We celebrate our team’s hard work and knowledgeable leadership and invite you to join us in our journey towards excellence and innovation.
What goals do you have as a team lead for the upcoming year in your quality department?
Michaela Bunde, Director, Pharmacist in Charge- “For the upcoming year in the quality department, we’ll focus on strengthening our relationships with other departments across the company. We will do this through collaborative, positive interactions, whether that’s remote or in person and really work with other departments to try to identify issues, work with them to solve those issues and figure out a way to prevent the issues from occurring in the future. With patient safety at the forefront of our mind, we really want to strengthen our relationships across our departments.”
How does the quality team at Medvantx stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, and what proactive steps are taken to ensure continuous improvement in our processes?
Lindsey Burch, QA Specialist –“The maintenance quality team ensures continuous improvement by completing daily and weekly monitoring on site at the pharmacies, in both locations. With that monitoring, we link it back to our processes to make sure our processes are aligned. We also have a top- down quality mindset approach as well as our quality culture and we’re always linking it back to the patient, making sure that the right drug gets to the right patient at the right time.”
What are some of the key goals or initiatives the quality team is focusing on for the upcoming year, and how do these align with Medvantx’s long-term vision and mission?
Holly Parker, Assistant Director of Compliance- “As a multi-client organization, the quality team consistently evaluates pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, best practices and client expectations to enhance our processes in pursuit of excellence in patient care and operational efficiencies.”
Amanda Chuk our Director of Quality & Regulatory- “The quality team is positioned to partner across the enterprise to support Medvantx mission of advancing medication access to patients. Specific examples include transitioning to digitization of our investigations and change control initiatives as well as our corrective and preventive action work. I’m also interested in partnering with operational leaders to learn more about our internal events so that we can continually learn from deviation so that we can improve our processes for that next patient and the next medication that we’re filling.”
